Jeff Mattson and DSO will headline the Hoxeyville Spring Music Festival, taking place from May 31 to June 2 in Wellston, MI. This new musical event also will feature The Allman Betts Band, The Infamous Stringdusters, Leftover Salmon, Yonder Mountain String Band and others!
The Hoxeyville Farm is a picturesque 200-acre property in the heart of Michigan's Manistee National Forest. This new event is focused on music, camping, and immersion in the Northwoods. It will offer canoe trips Saturday and Sunday, music and ecology workshops, and plenty of food and craft vendors. Music on the Timber Stage will run from 5:00pm to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 4:00-11:00pm on Sunday.
Join DSO Saturday, July 13 at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA in celebration of 40 years of the Rex Foundation and their $10,000,000 in grants to over 14,000 grantees!
The Rex Foundation was created by "members of the Grateful Dead and Friends" and has a mission "to help secure a healthy environment, promote individuality in the arts, provide support to critical and necessary social services, assist others less fortunate than ourselves, protect the rights of indigenous people and ensure their cultural survival, build a stronger community, and educate children and adults everywhere."
This evening of music at this iconic venue is a benefit concert for Rex Foundation and features Dark Star Orchestra performing the Grateful Dead's 7/13/84 Greek Theatre show at Greek Theatre on its 40th anniversary!
On this unforgettable night, the Grateful Dead broke out “Dark Star” for the first time in 3 years. During “Dark Star” and to the amazement of the audience, a brilliant shooting star streaked across the summer sky!
The celebration will commence with special guests Melvin Seals and JGB.
Let's come together to celebrate the power of community, the magic of music, and the incredible impact of the Rex Foundation. Each grant has contributed to meaningful change, and this is a momentous occasion to reflect on the positive ripples that Rex and family have created.

Dark Star Orchestra returns to the road this Wednesday, July 26 for our annual evening at the ballpark at Rochester's Silver Stadium (aka Innovative Field) then spends two nights with you at Summer Jam 50 in LaFayette, NY Celebrating 50 Years of the Famed Watkins Glen ‘Summer Jam’ on July 28-29. The 30th finds us at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, NJ then we cruise up to the Stony Creek Brewery in Branford, CT on August 2 before crossing the Southern Tier running up to Buffalo for an evening at Buffalo's Outer Harbor on August 3. WasFest is a brand new music festival is coming to Boston this Month! Curated by legendary musician-producer Don Was, WasFest is a celebration of collaboration and creativity where an all-star lineup of artists perform unique sets that often feature the album of another musician, Dark Star Orchestra is performing The Grateful Dead's November 14, 1978 Boston Music Hall Show at the Wang Theatre Friday, June 23 at 7:30pm.

💥 Spring Tour! 💥
DSO Spring Tour kicks off May 12 at The Senate in Columbia, SC followed by our debut at The Refinery in Charleston, SC. We then return to familiar stages at The Ritz in Raleigh, NC, Greenfield Lake Amphitheater in Wilmington, NC, and The NorVa in Norfolk, VA.
The tour wraps up with a pair of shows at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY and a Sunday night at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe, PA. The bus then heads to Legend Valley for our tenth Dark Star Jubilee over Memorial Day weekend and the only Jeff Mattson & Friends appearance of the season!
