This summer has been a blast on the road for DSO. After spending some time out west, we're excited to get back to the east coast! First up is Great South Bay Music Festival in Patchogue, NY. DSO will headline the four-day event on Saturday, July 20. Then we are heading to New Jersey for a very special show at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park on July 21! DSO will be recreating the Dead's epic 9/3/77 show from Englishtown, NJ. This show originally took place about 20 miles away from where we're playing. There are many more goodies in store for the East Coast and New England this summer. We'll catch you on the road!

DSO is so honored and excited to play the legendary Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA on July 13, in celebration of 40 years of the Rex Foundation! This evening of music at an iconic venue will feature Dark Star Orchestra performing the Grateful Dead's 7/13/84 Greek Theatre show on its 40th anniversary! The celebration will commence with special guests Melvin Seals and JGB, and proceeds will benefit the Rex Foundation. 

The Rex Foundation was created by "members of the Grateful Dead and Friends" and has a mission “to help secure a healthy environment, promote individuality in the arts, provide support to critical and necessary social services, assist others less fortunate than ourselves, protect the rights of indigenous people and ensure their cultural survival, build a stronger community, and educate children and adults everywhere.”

The Colorado weather is perfect in July, so it's the best time to spend your 4th of July weekend partying with DSO! The band will do a run of shows starting on July 3 at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail, followed by the band's return to The Mishawaka in Bellvue on July 4. DSO then makes a stop at Levitt Pavilion in Denver on July 5, followed by their 30th show at Colorado's Boulder Theater on July 6. Axial Tilt returns to New Orleans during Jazz Fest weekend for a pair of shows at Cafe Istanbul on May 3 & 4! This DSO-heavy super group features Jeff Mattson, Rob Eaton, Lisa Mackey, Skip Vangelas, and Dino English, plus Mitch Stein and Wally Ingram along with special guests.
